más o menos: CIEE ARTICLE
Target Audience: Spanish speakers and advocates for women’s rights
This magazine spread was created for the CIEE student-run magazine during my semester abroad in Seville at CIEE. Inspired by a visit to the Fundación Ana Bella, which fights against domestic violence, the article focuses on domestic violence in Spain. It features an interview with Carmen Rodriguez, a social worker at the foundation, detailing her experiences with relationship violence and her path to escape.
For the magazine spread, the design incorporates a serious tone by using black and white images of Carmen and a protest in Seville. The layout includes pink boxes to add depth and align with the cover's color scheme. The cover mimics the CIEE magazine style, using a similar font and titling the edition to match the article’s theme. The Ana Bella Fundacion logo is subtly integrated with a low opacity and pink color, symbolizing the focus on women's rights.
This project stands out as a passion project, merging a love for Spanish and advocacy for women's rights. The final design also includes a billboard mockup based on a bus stop advertisement, emphasizing the article's powerful message.
