Bonnaroo Billboards

Target Audience: Music fans driving towards Bonnaroo festival

Artists shown: Fred Again, FISHER, Post malone, & red hot chili peppers

As an avid music lover, I immerse myself in tunes all day long, fueling my passion for creating visually striking pieces that resonate with the rhythm of life. Inspired by this year's Coachella festival billboards across California, I decided to channel my creativity into designing billboards for the Bonnaroo festival, focusing on headline artists Fred Again, Post Malone, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and FISHER. Each design reflects the artist's most popular songs and aligns with their unique personal brands.

The Fred Again billboard captures the electric atmosphere of a dance floor with a black-and-white image of the artist in mid-performance, surrounded by an ecstatic crowd. The text "COME FIND IT AT BONAROO" invites festival-goers to experience the infectious energy of his set. The overall design is a nod to his track "Marea (We've Lost Dancing)," encapsulating the euphoric feeling of being lost in music.

For FISHER, I used vibrant, psychedelic colors and a dynamic layout to reflect his eclectic and energetic music style. The repeated text "TAKE TAKE TAKE" is inspired by his ability to sample and remix, creating new sounds from existing ones. This billboard bursts with life, much like FISHER's innovative approach to music.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers billboard features a serene beach scene with a fiery pool, representing their iconic Californian roots and the fiery passion of their music. The text "BONNAROOFICATION" blends the festival name with their song "Californication," creating a sense of place and identity that is familiar. This design merges the tranquility of the ocean with the intensity of the band's sound.

For Post Malone, I crafted a fiery design that captures the intense energy of his performances and the raw emotion in his music. The burning star symbolizes his explosive presence in the music industry, while the bold text "AP WILL GO PSYCHO" pays homage to his hit song "Psycho." This design encapsulates the wild, unapologetic vibe that Post Malone demonstrates on stage.
